TRial Lessons

This is a popular first step to experience helicopter flight.
Start in our briefing room with your qualified helicopter instructor, enjoy a cup of complimentary tea or coffee and enjoy a full briefing on how to handle the helicopter controls. Under the watchful eye of our qualified instructor, you will have the chance to take the controls and experience what each individual flight control does. You will be able to fly the helicopter straight and level, in the climb, in the descent, in the turn and on return to the airport, in the hover.

Various Trial Lessons are available ranging from ½ hour, ¾ hour, 1 hour or more.
For longer TL’s of around an hour, it is possible to land away at another aerodrome for coffee before returning to Bristol. This gives the future student a good insight into what they would experience if they decided to take up training for the PPL (H).

For those who wish to spend a few hours as a taster for learning to fly, Rotorflight also tailor packages that combine flying with an overnight stay in a top luxury Von Esson hotel. This enables the partner to also enjoy the weekend if they have no interest in flying! It also makes for a nice weekend break to enjoy ones self by pursuing an interest in helicopter flying and relaxing at the same time.

Private Pilots Licence
